Dormer Installations

A Dormer Installation gives Greater space for greater value.

Creating a new space with a Dormer Installation.

One of the most common types of loft conversions in Scotland is the dormer installation. Usually built out of an existing slope of the roof so it provides a cost-effective way to add extra space to your property.

Some types of loft conversions can result in up to 50 cubic metres of additional space. But this depends on the type of house and the size and style of the extension.

Much of the work involved can be carried out from scaffolding outside your home. So this makes for minimal disruption when compared to other types of home extension.

A Dormer installation is an extension built to protrude from the existing sloping roof used to create a more usable space with additional headroom. So a cramped loft can become larger, and airier with new dormer windows providing a transformative natural light.

With several different types of dormer loft conversions. The one most suited to your property will completely depend on your house type (terraced, semi-detached, detached) and your existing roof shape.

A big thank you to all the team at Loftstar for our home conversion, but we never thought it would qualify for a time but these guys managed to make some amendments and get it through. We are totally and utterly delighted with our new study. We can’t thank you enough.
